This year's 12 step meeting will be will be held on the 12th December on the MF William Jørgensen, Eik Skaløes Plads, 1437 København K (map)
Step 1: Arrival at 19:30
Step 2: Welcome Drink and social intercourse
Step 3: Dinner served at 20:00
Step 4: White wine
Step 5: Red Wine

Step 7: Coffee and avecs
Step 8: The contents of Kangaroo's drinks cupboard

2010.09.03 - ScandiJock no. 3 in Gothenburgh, Sweden

When you think you were safe, here comes ScandiJock #3!!
Where? In lovely Gothenburgh, with assistance of the Gothenburgh Hash. Brief itinerary:
Probable prelube with a Gothenburgh run on Thursday 02 Sep in evening for those who want to arrive early.
Accomodation at Slottsskogens Hostel in lovely surroundings. Bed and breakfast buffet included. Bring your own sheets and towel or rent. Sleepingbags not approved by them. Of course there will be t-shirts or another exciting item under investigation, more information to come! The Junior Turd Chevy pickup beer truck and beertap will also attend, with kegs of beer connected! In order to secure deposit for the hostel we will yet again have a good early bird rate! Be there or be a rectangular object!
Friday:
Registration and checkin from 15:00
Pubcrawl in Gothenburgh in the evening. more info to come.
Saturday:
Boat trip into the Gothenburgh archipelago with run, laid by the Gothenburgh H3 with beerstops, whiskystop, beerstop, circle with down-downs, beer and whisky.
Dinner and drinks in the evening. Venue to be advised.
Sunday:
Hangover run, beerstop, whiskystop, circle with down-downs, beer and whisky.

I'll probably be attending the Absolut run on Saturday 03Oct, so if anybody wants to register I'll bring some forms. Looking forward to seeing both seasoned ScandiJock attendees and newbies there!

2009.10.02 - CH3 Oslo invasion

This year's Oslo Invasion starts on Friday October 2nd 2009.
The ferry leaves Copenhagen at 17:00 hrs arriving in Oslo Saturday morning at 8-9 hrs.
We then meet up with our Oslo friends, join them for the hash, have circle and food before returning to the ferry.
The ferry leaves Oslo at 17:00 hrs arriving in Copenhagen Sunday morning.
The deal we have so far is 410 dkk per person in a 4 person cabin, taxes included but no food and no drinks. Thirstig is working on an even better deal, so we will get back to you.
But we need your full names and ages to order the cabins, so please fill in the registration form as soon as possible!

2009.10.30 - Mekong Indochina Hash XI

Dear hasher
You are being contacted because you either attended or showed serious interest in attending last year’s Mekong Indochina Hash, which was held in Sukhothai, Thailand.
This year the event moves to Yangon, Myanmar (formerly Rangoon, Burma) which last hosted the event in 2003. As on that previous occasion, this will be a true back-to-basics style Hash event.
As most of you will know, hosting an event like this in Myanmar is fraught with difficulty (indeed doing most things here is fraught with difficulty!) Therefore we beg your forgiveness when things do not always go as smoothly as you might want. Communications here are poor at best and we live in the technological Stone Age in terms of our ability to do things that many of you might take for granted. However, in an effort to modernise our usual way of doing things with quill pens and parchment paper, we have just established a website.

Prince Charming RIP

Long time Copenhagen hasher Prince Charming is no longer with us.
Here is the message from his wife:
It is with the greatest sadness I have to announce that my beloved husband and the dedicated father to our children - Edward - passed away on June 19th 2009 during a run.
The memorial service will be on Friday June 26th at 1400hrs from

2010.05.07 - InterCock 2010, Tbilisi, Georgia

Hi To All,
With much debate and consultation it has been decided that the Tbilisi InterCock 2010 (aka the 10 past 8 Hash) will be held in the beautiful Georgian spring-time at the end of the first weekend of May next year, being Friday 7th - Sunday 9th May, 2010. Before then we hope to have a list of billeting options including hotels listed in the low, middle and upper price brackets. Hash sites are being prepared and restaurants are being seduced.
Fundraising has started already, organisation is gearing up and plans are being made. Tell your friends, tell you family, tell your colleagues; Tbilisi is the place to be May 2010.

This year is the 200th anniversary of the so-called Austrian War of 1809 (War of 5th Coalition), which includes 2 huge battles near Vienna (May in Aspern-Essling, July in Deutsch Wagram, with more than 20 thousand dead on each side at Wagram!).
What has Melk got to do with it … well Napoleon established a base here, actually stayed himself in the Monastery.
Now as we are not Monks (Munks?) or other holy order, we can’t actually stay in the Monastery, but we can see the Monastery from our hotel, and it’s just a few minutes away.
Napoleon will be featuring in the weekend (Ohlala!!), to find out you must attend! Vinodobona of course, maybe the Holy Vindo Boner (a shocking sight) - will re-appear from the cellars, but is this the Vindobonapart we mean ??

Melk is at the western end of the Wachau, which is the most beautiful section of the Danube, with magnificent scenery and good wines. Our Hotel is the Wachauerhof, Wienerstrasse 30, 3390 Melk. For more details, see http://www.tiscover.at/wachauerhof-teufner.
By car from Vienna, you can take the Westautobahn to Melk (1 hour), or drive along the Danube through the Wachau ( 90 minutes).
Here is a rough schedule for the weekend.
FRIDAY, September 18
After your arrival in Melk and after you dumped your luggage in your room, a short warm-up run will take place. After a short circle, dinner and party until the wee hours.
SATURDAY, September 19
Extensive run to a well known Landmark where Napoleon will appear (there will be a bus available if you are in distress). Beer stop, snacks stop of course. Buffet in the massive cellar, Music, dancing etc
SUNDAY, September 20
After another sumptuous breakfast in your place the Hangover run. After the following circle it is time to say goodbye. Possible Lunch at the Hotel after the Hangover run at your own cost.
PRICE FOR THE WEEKEND
Euro 165,- per person, including Three runs, Goody Bag with Haberdashery, Dinner on Friday and on Saturday, Breakfast on Saturday and on Sunday, all drinks at the restaurant (hard drinks and champagne excluded) all food and drinks on the runs and of course your stay at the Hotel.
